Believe in your abilities, that you are worthy enough for anything, and that you can achieve things with your hard work, persuasion, and sincerity. the people who do not believe in them selves give way to negative thoughts, leading to negative actions and self doubt.

Never let negative thought make home in your mind, as it will breed contempt, hatred, self defeating thoughts, demotivating you and will generate a feelings of unworthiness.

Build your confidence, give space for positive thoughts. know that only you can help yourself, no matter what people around you do to support you, the ultimate power lies in your hands. Take charge of your life. Lack of self confidence restricts you from obtaining or achieving goals, generate self hatred patters in behavior, thinking negatively about oneself, and stopping you from performing better. This is not restricted to self, it starts showing up in relationships, workplace, social groups, where you hesitate to ta take any decision, any step, starting new business, initiating a plan in office, sharing an idea, speaking your own mind, making you anxious and hopeless in situations as you think that you can not perform well and not worthy enough, or a more worse form of it like, what ever I do never turns out good or positive.

Setbacks do come in life, sometimes we have to face failures too, but that doesn’t mean that we are not good enough. This thing should be taken in a positive manner, that though I have failed this time, I will put in more efforts to improve the situation. It might take a little longer, but ultimately I will achieve my objectives.

Deal with your negative thought pattern, train your mind to think positively, believing in your efforts, your hard work, determination, know that you will do it.

Keep a check how you behave in certain situations, how you react to things and circumstances, know your behavior and your attitude toward things. This will enable you to see how you are reacting to things and dealing with situations, it will prepare you for challenging situations that arise, and then you will know how to handle those situations. You will learn from your mistakes, it will guide you which path to take to road to success.

TESTING TIMES

Life Is Full of Testing Times, Just Have Courage to Withstand.

A time comes in life when you are snowed with stress, hopelessness, depression, darkness, and it would not be wrong to say that we are shaken up to our core of being. these times are not predicted to some extent, and therefore we are not prepared for it mostly. This doesn’t mean that we cannot change our situation and keep on mellowing in it for a longer time, as it will be more harder for us to just give in and sit back to see how things pass us.

We should keep on reminding ourselves that setbacks, failures, disappointments, or tragedies are part of life, which make us stronger and wiser. The only thing that works better is HOPE.

In those times it, it would be a help if we have our coping mechanisms working, to deal with stress and shake up the settling of depression blanket from ourselves.

  • Acceptance of the situation makes the pain last for a shorter time.  Accept the things in the true manner. It will help you in coping with stress and bringing you out from the dark hole. It will prepare you to withstand the storm.
  • Gratitude will lead you a long way, so never let go it. Thanking for things even in the worst situations bring light in life, make the pain lighter and in turn relaxes you.
  • Choose your future wisely and start prioritizing your life, knowing what is more important and how to achieve it gives you a motive and a direction in life.
  • And lastly, believing. Believing that God is there to help you in the worst of situations, pray, and hope.

LIFE AS I SEE IT

As we pass our days, thought of things that went wrong, and brought us to a point in life, where we do not admire our standing, do cross our minds. Life is not a laid out plan, we make plans on basis of our inspirations, aspirations, our needs, our responsibilities, and our need to have peace within that comes from knowing of who we are and what we want.

Some people like myself, do want goals and plans in life, thinking out rationally and practically what needs to be done, which have better outcomes, and to somehow have a sound future. Meanwhile learning from mistakes that occurred, and stopping our so active mind to ponder on things that went wrong, decisions that lead us to a tight spot.

The key is to be consistent in your thoughts and actions, and awareness of your present and making decisions wisely and sticking to them. Being hesitant is going to lead you nowhere. Being afraid of things, people and situations would too be of no use, and you will be standing at the same point from where you started. Learn to take some risks where required, it give you more confidence and your mind will clear of doubts which you have about your self.

Ignore people who say bad things regarding you, avoid situations which you know would be difficult for you to handle. Take responsibility of your actions. No matter if times are hard, and you are farther away from your goals, keep your focus, keep positive, and keep on moving, stopping will attract negative thoughts and keep you away from your destiny.

FINDING YOURSELF

Life is just not about indulging in and losing yourself in daily activities, work or responsibilities. If that happens you will be so tuck up in it that, a time comes you really do wonder, what you were you thinking? what led you to do this to yourself? and you are left miserable.

Try to figure out who you really are, what is your purpose your goal in life, what things you love doing, what motivates you, mobilizes you, what are the things that make you bounce.

You will find yourself once you go through the closet of thinking of who you really are. you will see how that changes your life forever. 

The same rut of life will bore you out one day, and you will be a mechanical piece going through different doors. In order to accomplish your dreams it is a necessary thing to get to know yourself , your aspirations and following your dream. You will come to now latter on what you have being missing all the while.

When you take on the journey to find yourself you will be analyzing yourself too, what you are, what roles you are playing in life, what things matters to you most, what makes you tick,  what are your eating habits, how you respond to fears, and accomplishments, what are your limits and which defense mechanisms you use. It will develop an insight in yourself, thus making you free from things that don’t matter much, that don’t lead you to your destiny. Leaving you more connected with your real self, you will find the center of everything within you. 

Take some time out for yourself, find a place that keeps you calm, where you can relax without interruptions or demands, and dive deep in yourself. Self discovery is  the perfect thing that you can do for yourself, it will enrich your life, making you plunge into positivity.

Every situation bring forward a different set of coping mechanism, that you can put into use, in order to deal effectively with the current situation, which is bothering you. It is important that you find out the right set of coping strategies that works best with your needs and your present situation. positive coping mechanism helps in tackling with the hand-on challenges effectively, making you more prepared and strong, while you find out ways to deal with the  stressful situation.

EFFECTIVE COPING STRATEGIES:

Some strategies are based on long term, short term, relief while others focus on increasing your confidence, preparing you to be strong, while some increase your motivation levels. the coping strategies help in defusing the stress and anxiety level, your apprehensions and upsetting emotions. Maturity is also an ruling factor in coping, the more mature and realistic you are the more effective your coping style would be. Coping strategies are behavioral patterns that we analyze and learn according to our requirements. People develop positive coping mechanism to have a better life and face difficulties and problems in an effective manner. Stay away from negativity, and negative coping mechanism, as they are harmful in the long run, like engaging in emotional eating, gambling, irrational thinking, drugs, denial of situation etc.

COPING STRATEGIES:

  • analyze the situation, the current circumstances will define what strategies to apply.
  • ask for help, form someone you trust, who understands you, or a professional help.
  • give yourself a time out, and try to relax in that time.

Mindfulness is a non judgmental awareness of your inner self and your outer world. Observation of your thoughts, your emotions, the bodily reactions, understanding of your attitudes, your personality and sensations.

  • Sit down and relax in a position which is comfortable for you.

Mindfulness is the favorite topic of discussion and learning in psychology these days. It is now considered an effective technique to becoming aware of yourself, without being judgmental  enjoying your present moment, reducing your stress, becoming conscious of your sensations, feeling and emotions.

If you become aware and conscious of yourself and your behavior, and what you are doing in the present moment, you will notice that you are engaged in so many mindless activities, like, nail biting  pulling strand of your hair, emotional eating, day dreaming, plucking your eye lashes, tearing skin of your thumb perhaps and many more. we resume to all these activities when we are not feeling emotionally stable, or perhaps thinking about something which is stressful or beyond our powers to control, perhaps when nervous. We are so engrossed in it, that we hardly become aware of it.

Mindfulness is becoming aware of your body, making a connection between mind and body, our emotions and feelings, becoming aware of the present moment, while removing the distractions, paying attention to the present, stopping and breathing, and connecting with inner-self.

In today’s busy world be are so involved in technology that we hardly notice of whats happening around us, not noticing what we are eating, not able to finger point why we are feeling stressed or depressed, and not even ready to let go of it. we divert our attention more to TV, Cellphones, laptops, computers, iPad in order to keep busy, while the problem the root cause remains the same.

Mindfulness helps in eliminating many psychological problems, depression, stress, anxiety, lowering your blood pressure, make you breath in a relaxed way, making you aware of what you put in your mouth, and making your emotionally charged self, a calm one. By focusing on your present and staying connected to here and now, makes you less jumpy, less preoccupied with unwanted negative thoughts, develops your ability to be connected to yourself and helps in understanding others and developing better relations with them.

It helps in:

  • Have a relaxed state of mind, open to curiosity towards your feelings, openness to understand your emotions. it leads to being happy, as you know your negative feelings and reasons behind it, and you look at other positive ways to remove those negative thoughts. 
  • You become aware of your present, and whats happening at that present time. Helps in bringing things to perspective.
  • It increases your awareness about your own self.
  • It helps in making you realize that negative emotions or feeling are part of life, just as setbacks, and they pass and start focusing on more positive thoughts.

It is only in your hand to let go of the past, as it has no value now, because it is gone forever, you can only change what is today or tomorrow. Each day brings a fresh opportunity to live it to the fullest, to change the things we want to, to love a little more, to give more, living in moment and making it memorable for years to come.

Choose your words wisely, make your decisions in full knowledge, love fully, letting go of hurt, and cherishing every moment and making it worthwhile. Each day is a blessing, so make most of it, it is no wonder if you treat your day as a blessing, you will look forward to it, you would want to make it a good and profitable one. LIMITING OTHERS INTERFERENCE

Do keep a check, whom you give liberty to browse through your life and keep them in their limits.

Limits are important, even for ourselves (sometimes) and for people around us. It keeps you sane, for not pushing yourself harder to work and repair things that are irreparable, for exhausting yourself. Just don’t limit your aspirations and take up challenges.

Unwanted interference from people, continuous advises, are not the things you want. It is better to keep people in their limits, so they do not exceed and make your life their own.

Define your limits for people, so they would know it, through your behavior and attitude. You don’t want to be pestered by their judgments, of what you are doing in your life. It will keep problems away from you, and others will start respecting the line you have drawn for them.

Have you been feeling down lately. Worrying, what others think of you, and about the way you spend your life.

You really do need to focus here. See what words I used in above sentence “the way you spend your life”. It means it is your life, and no one has anything to do with it. Self worth comes from within, and no one else can fix it for you. And self worth is not linked to how rich you are, how much money you earn, how many cars you have, your social status, etc.

You cannot make anyone to be a judge on your behavior, your aspirations, your goals, your life. It is your own, and you have all the power to exercise it, the way you want it to. It is your own opinion about yourself that counts. Other peoples opinions can not be in any way the yard stick for your worth. The way you perceive yourself, what value you think you have in your own eyes, counts.

It is only this realization, that helps you in defining and understanding of your actions, your strengths and weaknesses, your attitude towards life in general.

Then take the path that is more enlightening for yourself, based on your own judgement, capabilities and desire.
